How does Upryte count exercise repetitions?

Upryte uses on-device pose tracking to follow visible body landmarks through your Android phone’s camera. For supported exercises, it uses those movement patterns to identify completed and partial repetitions.

Does Upryte record or upload camera video?

Camera processing happens on your device. Upryte uses the camera view to assess movement and does not require an account to track a workout.

Which exercises does Upryte support?

Supported movements include squats, push-ups, planks, lunges, glute bridges, curls, deadlifts, overhead presses, and pull-ups. Assessment depends on camera placement and visibility.

Can Upryte replace a personal trainer?

No. Upryte is a workout tracking tool, not a personal trainer or medical service. Its movement insights are informational and should not replace professional guidance.

Why might a workout say it could not be assessed?

Pose tracking needs a clear view of the relevant joints. If lighting, camera angle, distance, or an obstruction makes a set unreliable to assess, Upryte reports that limitation instead of presenting uncertain feedback as fact.

Does Upryte work without an account?

Yes. No account is required, and workout history is stored locally on your device.

Is Upryte available on iPhone?

Upryte is currently available for Android. An iPhone version is not currently listed.
